I am Nicolas Chevalier, an International Strategy Analyst with several years of experience supporting projects abroad.
Deeply rooted in the Indian Ocean area, especially in Réunion Island with experiences in Seychelles and Mauritius, I helped renew and launch highly relevant cooperations.
I'm also the founder of thinktank.re allowing youth to introduce local solutions to French ministries.
In December 2023, I have been awarded by the "Talent de l'Outre-mer" prize, for my inspiring resilient background and commitments.
Since 2025, I am a member of the Indian Ocean Regional Youth Parliament, implemented by the Indian Ocean Commission (IOC).
I always been committed to associations and I also did volunteering. In 2020, during the COVID-19 crisis, I created a think tank to allow youth to express and find solutions to local issues. We have written more than 100 proposals for public institutions.
As an International Relations student, I participated in several "Model of United Nations" simulations. I was only 18, when I took part in the Harvard World MUN in Panama as a delegate.
My 3 years work experience at Business France allowed me to develop numerous skills. I was in charge of projects inside the Team France Export, a gathering of several actors that helps companies to export and internationalise.

I had the opportunity to be Reunion Island representative in Seychelles as a cooperation officer based inside Foreign Affairs Department. During one year I worked promoting my island as a key partner locally, handled a portfolio of 48 cooperation projects, organised meetings and visits of delegations.

Since April 2025, I am a member of the Indian Ocean Regional Youth Parliament, implemented by the Indian Ocean Commission, and composed of delegates from Comoros, Madagascar, Mauritius, Réunion Island and Seychelles. This initiative tends to integrate more youth into decision-making process, and reinforce cooperation.
In December 2023, I have been awarded "Talent de l'Outre-mer" at Quai Branly museum in Paris. This event is supported by the President and highlights talented youth from French Overseas regions that have an impact on society.
